Clare Comedy nights are held twice a term in the Cellars (underneath the Chapel in Clare Old Court), usually on a Sunday. It starts at 9pm and entry costs £2 on the door. We advise early arrival for the keen, as the shows are always popular.

Most nights include five or six short student acts, lasting about five minutes, followed by a headliner from London, who does a set of about an hour. (Do not be fooled by this; it usually ends at about midnight.) This is all held together by our compère Matt Kirshen Hyperlink "Matt Kirshen" to "Contacts", who started Clare Comedy some years ago as an undergraduate mathematician at Clare. He is now a professional stand-up comedian.

Clare Comedy is the sole benefactor of the library of comedy DVDs in the Clare FML.
